She has also sent a little introduction of her university, which she wants to share with our readers. Yette writes in her email that The Philippine Women’s University founded as Philippine Women’s College in 1919. it is located along district of Malate in the city of Manila. The college was granted its university status in 1932 and recognized as first university of women in Asia. She tells that preparation for vocation or profession for leadership to achieve the dignity of professional work The Philippine Women’s University can be best for any women.
Yette more tells that the university is now completing its ninth decade of institutional life and is moving toward its centenary in 2020. It has coped with many vicissitudes, including being burned and razed to the ground during the battle for the liberation of Manila in 1945. But, phoenix like, Philippine Women’s University arose from the ashes, grew and flourished, even more vigorous, innovative and determined to continue serving the youth of the land to make them be the best they can become.
